1973 C3 Corvette with Stingray Headlights
My favorite part about the restomod hobby is that there really are no limits. If you have time, money, and the inclination, you can manifest pretty much anything. So maybe like Johnny Burke you’ve always loved the lines on the 1973 ‘vette, but you want to modernize it. Brand new cabin complete with leather, touchscreen nav, premium sound system, the works.
Frame off year and a half restoration, custom side exhaust, ZZ5 350 Crate engine, beautiful hand painted emblems, the works. Custom wheels and a top notch paint job just to round it out.
But to really customize it, really make it his own Corvette unlike anything else on the road, Johnny decided to put 2015 Stingray headlights on it. Seriously. When I first saw this, I hated it. Flat out couldn’t stand it. After watching the video a couple times, it started to grow on me. What do you think?
“I wanted a car that I could drive, have fun in, was loud, and bright. And that’s what I got.” – Johnny Burke
