The Bonkers "Tantrum" Charger Is On Sale

A Dodge Charger is one of the best cars you can pick to restomod. With a whole heap of aftermarket support, decent prices, and timeless looks, they provide you with everything you need, right from the off. This particular Charger restomod? It takes the Dodge to the limit and then pushes it a little bit further. Known as the “Tantrum” it is based on a 1970 Charger, and was created by SpeedKore Performance of Grafton, Wisconsin. While it was built in 2015, it’s not lost any of its magic. Nor has it lost any of its 1650 horsepower.

What’s the source of this ridiculous power? A 9 liter Mercury Marine V8, complete with two turbochargers. This engine has been hooked up to a Tremec T56 six-speed manual. How the car handles such a ridiculous amount of power with its Ford 9-Inch rear end and its Michelin 345 Pilot Super Sport tires is somewhat less known. Regardless of its handling, it is an absolute beaut of a car.

The radiator has been milled from aluminum, while the chassis is a brand new custom piece complete with roll cage. The body panels are new too, and made from carbon fiber. If you’re interested in this frankly insane Charger, it’s now being sold by Fusion Luxury Motors of Chatsworth, California, with no listed price. The odometer reports that the previous owner has driven it just 41 miles, so be prepared to pay a mighty high price. Still, in my humble opinion, owning this beats owning something like a Lamborghini or a Z06 any day of the week.
