Often reffering to what appears to be a ordinary looking stock commuter car that is anything but stock under the hood. Pretty much the exact opposite of your everyday riced up civic.
My bone stock looking 1967 Volkswagen Beetle with a dual carbed, big bore and race head equipped engine gives quite the ego bashing when a ricer can’t hold up to his own challenge at a light.
We all know what it is but sometimes you need to see a car that lives up to the definition. Well here you go.
The guys at Car craft spotted this one the Summer Nationals. “That F-150 has Crown Victoria wheels… I bet it’s swapped on a Panther chassis.” With that the investigation begun.
The owner of the rusted out Ford F-150 is Ron Mika. Before the Car Craft Summer Nationals, he tore the body off of a 2004 Crown Victoria and slipped what was left under a 1966 F150. The floorpan and firewall stayed put. The front of the frame was chopped 6 inches to get the core support to fit. Otherwise, the cab and bed of the truck were the right size to get it all together.
