The docket for this auction is full to bursting with beautiful classics, including both pristine restorations and restomods. As you might have guessed, we’re more interested in the latter. Here are just a few of our favorites.
The G54: 1954 Buick Special Custom Coupe
Reserve: None

Created by Rad Rides by Troy of Manteno, Illinois, this gorgeous car, finished in chocolate and cognac paint, is completely custom. The headlights have been updated, while the tailights have been sourced from a 1962 Chevy. Both bumpers have been tucked, while the trim has been smoothed down.

Inside, there’s Dynamat insulation, lining of Ultra Suede, and the speakers have been covered with cloth used on Gibson amplifiers. The power seats come from Mercedes-Benz, and there’s a tilt wheel, Vintage Air, three-point seatbelts, and billet door handles.

The engine is from a Merc G55. To be more precise, it is the 330 supercharged AMG V8. It has been equipped with an Eaton supercharger, Big Stuff 3 fuel injection, and MSD ignition. In total, the engine produces around 530 horsepower, and is silky smooth.
1955 Pontiac Chieftain: “Big Chief 509”
Reserve: None

Maybe you want something more like a hot rod? Then this Pontiac Chieftain is the car for you. The Chieftain was given a frame-off restoration, and then packed with a whole host of modern goodies. Under the hood lurks a 509 roller V8 with custom steel heads and an 850 cfm Holley double-pumper carb. The intake is custom too, with Ram tubes and K&N filters. The automatic transmission is hooked up to a Dutchman 9″ rear end.

The car rides on Fat Man Fabrication Stage III suspension up front, and a TCI four-link setup at the rear. The wheels are Torq Thrust IIs. The bumpers have been smoothed, and the raised halogen headlights frenched. The chrome on the hood has been removed, as have the wing windows, door handles, and filler cap, which now sits in the taillights on the driver’s side. Finished in a classic flame paintjob, this Chieftain couldn’t look much more like a classic hot rod.

1964 Chevrolet Impala SS Custom
Reserve: None

When I saw this beauty on the docket, I knew it had to be in this article. Yes, it’s a pristine Impala from that year, and as such, is bound to attract a lot of attention anyway, but it’s so much more than that.

The engine is a big-block 409 with dual-quad Edelbrock 500 cfm carbs, COMP cam, Headman headers, electronic ignition, and a new Griffin aluminum radiator. Mated to the engine is a Turbo 350 automatic transmission, which feeds into a Ford 9″ rear end. Six-piston caliper disc brakes provide stopping power up front, while in the back there are four-piston caliper disc brakes.

Inside, the dash features Dakota Digital gauges and two-tone leather seats. The car features air ride suspension, Centerline wheels, and a new cloth top.
1967 Chevrolet Corvette Custom Convertible
Reserve: None

A gorgeous missile of pure style shot from the summer of love into 2019, this restomod convertible is everything a classic Corvette should be. Finished in Rally Red paint with black accents and a black interior, its looks are absolutely breathtaking.

The convertible is powered by a 427 Tri-Power V8, producing 435 horsepower, which is hooked up to a Muncie M21 four-speed manual. The rear-end is a posi-traction, with a ratio of 3.36. Started with K66 transistor ignition and featuring side pipes, custom wheels, tinted glass and much more, this is a truly fantastic restomod.
