This '65 Chevy Corvair Corsa RestoMod is Pretty Much Safe at Any Speed
While some infamously remember the Corvair as “unsafe at any speed,” thanks to Ralph Nader’s memo about vehicle safety, there is still a huge following of fans who appreciate Chevy’s unique air cooled, rear engined gem. Thanks to modern technology and newer suspension upgrades, this Corvair is not only a much safer to drive, it can really carve up some corners as well! Christa tells us that this Corvair was meticulously modified and the donor engine was rebuilt extensively.
The Chevy Corvair can actually be an incredibly fun car to drive with the right modifications. Some folks have even gone as far as installing mid engine kits to move the engine towards the center of the car for better weight distribution, and swapping in small block Chevy V8s!
